Don't Forget to Put Water in the Car Battery

FM Camp took a trip to Montana in the Fall of 1917.  While in Ovando, Montana, he sent a postcard to his daughter Nellie reminding her to put water in the car battery.   Oh, and there was a deer in the meadow.
A present day photograph of the buildings from the postcard.  According to the photgrapher, Marcin Porwit, the Stray Bullet Cafe has the best gravy he has ever tasted.  Mr. Porwit also has additional photographs of Ovando, including the post office from which the postcard was mailed 94 years ago.

The Lindamood Home Looking Grand

Bill and Cindy pose for a photo on a warm summer day in front of the Lindamood Home.   I can't get over how good that resawn shake looks on the house.  We have to thank Garfield for picking the color, which is much more inviting than black or gray.

How About Those Floors?

As David Lindamood's photo essay shows, Jim Wells of Wells Construction did a fine job on the floors.

Bedrooms complete with orbs?

A Few Upgrades

David was nice enough to spend his hard earned vacation working on the Lindamood Home.

Complete With Trim

David used some of Garfield's leftover wood and some of Dondi's leftover paint to create a brand new window trim for the dormer windows.  Very nice.

The hardwood floors are scheduled to be refinished in late April.

Completely Plastered.... Floor to Ceiling

Well, here we have it!  The plastering and painting has taken its course and the results are simply amazing.  Plaster Master Dondi Williams has done one helluva job.  As old Garfield would say, "that house is starting to look tough."  David is going to work on the upstairs interior window trim.  Then we'll get those floors repaired and refinished.  David's photo essay continues....

More of David's Restoration Photos

Even before painting, the plaster repairs are starting to make a big difference.  More to come.
